Cornish X Rock Cross

The crossing of purebred Cornish and White Rock hens produces this fine broiler. Cornish Cross is the most popular, fastest and most efficient meat chicken on the market. They have large breasts, thigh and leg proportions. Their white feathers and yellow skin make for clean processing. We cannot overemphasize the importance of proper nutrition for successful results from our Cornish X Rock Cross chicks! The tremendous growth rate makes it absolutely essential to feed a broiler ration to this bird. We recommend a 23% protein starter ration for the first four weeks and a 20% protein grower ration for the remainder of the growing period. Because of the rapid weight gain of these chicks, we suggest a Vitamin Stress Pack.

Note: Between April 1st and October 1st, Mt. Healthy Hatcheries has a minimum shipping requirement of 3 birds (instead of the usual 10). If you order 3 chicks to ship outside of April 1st - October 1st, the order may be delayed or shipped with cockerels for warmth, as decided by Mt. Healthy Hatcheries.
