Splash Jersey Giant

The largest breed in the American Class the Jersey Giant has appropriately been nicknamed the ‘Gentle Giant’. Although only average layers these birds lay a considerably larger egg than most. Roosters are popular to caponize but these birds have decreased in popularity for consumption due to their slow growth and poor feed conversion. The splash color is an especially unique variety that is beautiful on its own, or can be used in blue breeding. Note: Between April 1st and October 1st, Mt. Healthy Hatcheries has a minimum shipping requirement of 3 birds (instead of the usual 10). If you order 3 chicks to ship outside of April 1st - October 1st, the order may be delayed or shipped with cockerels for warmth, as decided by Mt. Healthy Hatcheries.
